Economics explores how individuals, businesses, and governments make choices to fulfill needs—whether maximizing happiness, increasing profits, or achieving the best outcomes for society. The economics department offers courses that equip students with decision-making tools applicable to various fields. We offer a minor in economics—for both teaching and non-teaching degree-seeking students –and a concentration. Many of our courses are offered on the campus, online, and at the Minot Air Force base.
