Our special education department has a 55-year history of offering programs related to supporting individuals with hearing loss. Our minor in deaf and hard of hearing education will provide you with the foundational knowledge of teaching children and youth who are deaf or hard of hearing, while our concentration in deaf studies will expand your understanding of the unique culture and language of the American Deaf Community.

Minor in deaf and hard of hearing education
This minor will provide you with foundational knowledge of teaching children and youth who are hard of hearing.

Concentration in deaf studies
If you are interested in the unique culture and language of the American Deaf Community, a concentration in deaf studies is a perfect option to add to your transcript.
