CONNECT: New Student Orientation and Registration
Minot State University is dedicated to helping you succeed as a student. To help you get started, we have developed CONNECT, a new student orientation and registration program. All new Minot State University students (freshman and transfer) are required to complete CONNECT.
All new students who have been admitted to Minot State University will be sent information on CONNECT. Please check your mail and MSU e-mail for more information.
CONNECT activities include learning about campus services, financial aid, international programs, getting your student ID, touring the campus, meeting with an academic advisor, and registering for classes. You are required to participate in all components to successfully complete the mandatory orientation.
Parents and guests are welcome to attend the CONNECT events! We have designed a special program to make sure you get all the inforamtion you need to help your student be successful at Minot State University.
There is no advance fee charged for CONNECT. As a new student, you will be assessed a special one-time new student fee of $45 as part of your fall tuition and fee payment. All CONNECT events are supported by this fee.
Completion of orientation is required for all new students (transfer and freshman)!

Reminder: you must be an admitted student before
you will be invited to attend CONNECT.
To make sure you are ready to CONNECT, please complete the following steps:
- Apply to Minot State University
- Go to www.minotstateu.edu/enroll and apply online or call the Enrollment Services Office to request an application be mailed to you
- Submit your final transcripts and ACT/SAT scores
- Submit your application for housing and deposit (required for freshmen)
- Complete all items on the Admissions Checklist
- Watch for you CONNECT invitation in the mail!
