Every effort is made to provide timely delivery service on campus. However, your mail or shipments could have delivery delays if not addressed properly.

Department Mail
The United States Postal Service (USPS) mail is generally sorted by 9:30 a.m. into department mail boxes each week day.

Residence Hall Mail
There is one mail box per room. Students with roommates should discuss how mail will be handled. Mail room hours and outside-of-hours pick up will be posted at the hall desk.

Apartment Mail
Mail is delivered to each apartment's mail box in the respective building. Apartment residents must pick up packages in the Student Center as apartments do not have a mail room in their building for secure package delivery.

Sending USPS Mail & Packages
All mail, envelopes and packages, must be tendered as ready to send. For example, taping and addressing boxes is your responsibility.

The Mail Room provides common USPS services; First Class stamps, Priority Class parcel postage, etc.

Cash and check are the only forms of payment accepted.

USPS mail pick up is 3 p.m. daily Monday - Friday.

FedEx Express and United Parcel Service (UPS) generally deliver to campus by 10:30 a.m. FedEx Ground and other couriers generally deliver by early afternoon.

All packages received by early afternoon are delivered to departments or residence halls that day.

Residence Hall Packages
Student packages are delivered to each residence hall’s mail room in those buildings by end of day.

Apartment Packages
Campus apartment residents must pick up packages in the Student Center as apartments do not have a mail room in their building for secure delivery. Notice slips are delivered to mailboxes once packages arrive to MSU.

Sending FedEx or UPS
Departments sending FedEx or UPS packages must complete the shipping form which provides details for package processing. Please tape or secure the form to the package. Only FedEx or UPS shipments require a shipping form.

Forms and packages must be received by 1:00 p.m. for same-day courier pickup. All carriers pick up by 3 p.m. daily.

Personal shipments can be given to Shipping & Receiving when a pre-paid label is attached. Students and employees can tender shipments with prepaid labels. Labels can be from USPS, FedEx or UPS.

Packages will be Returned to Sender after two weeks. When the end-recipient does not pick up a package in which Minot State has been in possession for two weeks, it will be returned to the sender listed on the package.
