Jacob Rued is a prior Financial Crimes Detective of the Fargo Police Department and current Fraud Investigator for First Western Bank in Fargo. Jacob specializes in payment and cyber fraud in the banking industry and holds professional fraud certifications from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and American Bankers Association.

James Hudler currently serves as Principal Cybersecurity Analyst for the state of North Dakota’s Cyber Analysis & Response (CyAR) team. Prior to joining CyAR, he was a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst for the North Dakota State & Local Intelligence Center (NDSLIC). James first got his foot in the door of IT as a Telepresence Engineer for Cisco in Austin, TX and is an alumni of Texas State Technical College. James holds multiple industry certifications and is a self-described lifelong D&D nerd.

Got his start in IT in 1984 after his father brought home their first PC running MS-Dos. Since that time computers have always been a part of the equation. Getting paid to work around computers and specifically in networking started in 2010. In 2011 he moved to the Bay Area to be a sales engineer at a small company that sold network taps and packet inspection appliances. From there he took his first cyber security specific role at McAfee in technical marketing, building attack and defend demos for the sales organization and the Executive Briefing Center. After McAfee, Peter took a role at an up and coming startup named “CrowdStrike” building a library of demos and presenting at different events. A part of Peter’s current role is “cyber evangelist” speaking at trade shows and other security events.
