Kyle Bittle is an assistant professor of computer information systems at Minot State University. He holds a BA in elementary education, a BS in management information systems, and an MS in information systems from Minot State University, and he is currently a PhD candidate in information systems with a specialization in cybersecurity research at Dakota State University. Prior to entering academia, he spent nearly a decade working in information technology, including systems and support roles in the agriculture sector with John Deere–affiliated operations, where he gained practical experience in systems analysis, network administration, CRM implementation, and technology project work. His research focuses on social media ethics, data privacy, human-computer interaction, and the implications of generative artificial intelligence in higher education. His work has been published in Information and The Data Base for Advances in Information Systems, and he has presented research on sharenting and digital privacy at the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) and on cybersecurity education at The Teaching Professor Conference (TPC). Kyle resides in Minot, North Dakota, with his wife and three children.
