Welcome! Minot State is updating its strategic plan.
A Strategic Planning Committee has been meeting since fall semester 2025, and they need your feedback to continue.
- If you are a member of the Minot State faculty or staff or are a student, please complete the seven-question Campus Survey.
- If you are a member of the broader community (alumni, member of the Minot region, employer, parent of an MSU student, etc.), please complete the three-question Community Survey.
Both surveys are brief but important for gathering input from all those invested in Minot State University and its continued success.

- Gather input and evidence
- Review and analyze input and evidence
- Identify values and related action items
- Identify resources and responsible parties
- Review and update mission and vision
- If time, gather feedback from the campus
Summer 2026
- Continue to draft the plan and its details
Fall 2026
- Gather additional feedback
- Complete any remaining edits
- If needed, submit new mission to SBHE
- Begin implementation and monitoring of the plan
- Have departments connect their activities to the plan
