Minot State celebrates Mother Language Day

Minot State University will host a community celebration of multilingualism, diversity and culture Tuesday (Feb. 21) at 1:30 p.m. in the Multicultural Center (Student Center, first floor). The celebration will educate, engage and immerse people in the multi-faceted representation of culture in the Minot area.

With free performances, food and activities, the Multicultural Center will transform into a global festival. All languages, ages, and cultures are welcome. Immediately following a short introduction by Sayeed Sajal, assistant professor of mathematics and computer science and one of the event’s lead organizers, performances including live music, dance, talks, and readings will engage the audience in the history and vibrancy of the multitude of languages and cultures represented in the Minot area.
