Student Opportunities

As a communication sciences and disorders student at Minot State, you have opportunities to participate in a variety of activities where you can meet new friends and make a difference.

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association is a nationwide organization for students majoring in communication sciences and disorders. Our chapter is active in projects that make a difference for the community and, this past spring, we raised enough money to fund 20+ cleft palate surgeries through our Miles for Smiles Walk

At the beginning of the fall semester, an open meeting is held to invite NSSLHA members to renew or begin their membership for a minimal annual membership fee. For more information, contact the chapter advisor at 701-858-3593.

At Minot State, we put learning into action. Outside the classroom, you will participate in a variety of community experiences, labs, and clinicals related to the field.  From the moment you join your first learning community, you will begin to interact with the people you will serve.

Our department is distinctive in that it offers a senior and post bacculaureate clinical experience.

Our students often find employment on campus through various departments and programs. Please visit financial aid for more information about student employment.
