NOTSTOCK Planning Committee

Mission: NOTSTOCK is an annual live, hands-in, hands-on arts event that fosters education, opportunity, engagement, and exposure to the arts. The event showcases poster art, ceramics, poetry, writing, film, theatre, music, and dance. NOTSTOCK artist guests share their knowledge, talents, and experiences with MSU students, K-12 postsecondary students and teachers, community members, and other guests who attend and participate. 

Duties: The NOTSTOCK Planning Committee's duties are to create and facilitate arts-focused, hands-on, educational opportunities for participants. These opportunities highlight both discipline-specific and interdisciplinary events that encourage meaningful connections through expression, diversity, and collaboration. 

Members: This institutional committee’s members include:

  • Art faculty members – Bill Harbort (chair), Ryan Stander, Micah Bloom, Blaire Engel
  • Music faculty member – Charlie Young
  • English faculty member – Sarah Aleshire
  • History faculty member - Ernst Pijning
  • Theatre faculty member – Sarah Honerman
  • Northwest Arts Center staff member – Greg Vettel
  • Student activities member – Aaron Hughes or Leon Perzinski
  • Facilities and events manager – Justin Anderson
  • Marketing - Cole Krueger
  • Students - Tessa Galvin, Sophia Rivas, and Sage Diesen
  • Off-campus member - Jazmine Schultz
  • VPAA - Laurie Geller
