Exercise Science and Rehabilitation Dress Code

Exercise Science and Rehabilitation students will be required to adhere to the following dress code policies.

  1. Students are not allowed to wear: jeans, caps, baggy clothes, exercise attire, tattered clothes, or tight fitting clothes to clinical or internship experiences.
  2. Hats shall not be worn to indoor events; hats worn to other events shall be university logo hats or an athletic company hat.
  3. Shirts are not to be cropped and no clothing should have alcohol, drugs, or sexual content displayed on them.
  4. Shorts worn should be at least mid-thigh length and no cleavage shall be exposed.
  5. Shoes shall have the toes covered.
  6. Facial hair shall be trimmed and neat and proper hygiene shall be maintained.
  7. Tattoos and body piercings are subject to the rules of the practicum or internship location.
  8. At Internship/Practicum sites that are off campus, students are to follow the rules of dress at the affiliate clinical site.
The Preceptor shall have the discretion to send the Exercise Science and Rehabilitation student to change clothing and shall document the infraction to be kept in the student’s file. In the event of an infraction of the Exercise Science and Rehabilitation Dress Code, the preceptor has the discretion to dismiss the Exercise Science and Rehabilitation student from their duties and can require the student to leave the event or clinical experience.
