Digital Accessibility Training Course

As you know, our school is responsible for ensuring all digital content complies with the rules and guidelines set by the Americans with Disabilities Act. You have been enrolled in a training course delivered in Blackboard Ultra, our learning management system. The purpose of this training is to familiarize you with the concepts of digital accessibility, and act as a reference for you to utilize while making accessible content for your classroom or department. This training course covers:

  • What digital accessibility is
  • How to check for digital accessibility
  • How to create accessible digital content

The course is broken up into four main modules, with three of these locked until the Start Here module is completed. Once these modules are unlocked, they may be viewed in any order. There are four items that are required viewing and must be completed for you to be designated as having completed this training. The initial time needed to complete the required portion of this course is less than an hour. Depending on your role here on campus, the overall time needed to review all materials may vary, as not all media covered in the course may be relevant to your position on campus.

To find this course:

  1. Login with your campus connection username and password at Minot State Blackboard
  2. On the welcome page, select Courses on the left menu
  3. On the Courses page, find Digital Accessibility at Minot State University. It may be under the category MISU1 Non-Term Based.
  4. Click the course title to open the course.
