I began my nursing career as an LPN in the clinic setting until I became a Registered Nurse in 2011, when I began working as a full time RN in the Intensive Care Unit at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND. When I was asked to be a nurse preceptor, my passion for education was set ablaze, and the fire is still burning! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minot State University in 2012 and my Masters of Science in Nursing Education from University of North Dakota in 2016.
My clinical nursing experience includes home care, urgent care clinic, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Trauma Center, and leadership. For over 10 years, I have been actively serving in a Nurse Educator role.
My passion for teaching brought me back to Minot State University, where I am excited to teach Health Assessment and Pathophysiology! I encourage my students to be curious learners with integrity and passion for providing the best possible care to our patients and their families.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, arts and crafts of all kinds, D-I-Y projects, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and our three cats. I continue to teach resuscitation and trauma nursing certification courses and the nurse residency program at Trinity Health part time.
