Prior to joining the MSU faculty, she was a student-teacher supervisor and taught as an adjunct lecturer at The City College of New York for two years in the Bilingual and TESOL teacher certification program. She also taught elementary and middle school, English Language Arts classroom teacher in both Phoenix and New York City for over ten years. Ely enjoys reading, crafts, movies, and traveling.
