Interlibrary Loan Information

Interlibrary loan requests can now be made from within ODIN. Here's how:

    A. If you want to put in a request for a book that another ODIN library owns, just do the following:
    1. Find the book's record in ODIN.
    2. Click on the link which reads "Interlibrary Loan Request" (towards the top right of your screen).
    3. Log on using your ID or barcode number and your password (your last name in lowercase letters).
    4. Click the "Interlibrary Loan" link once again. An electronic form appears on which you need to do the following things:
      a) Give us your e-mail address.
      b)
Choose a date that the book will no longer be useful to you (we need to know when to stop trying to get this book for you.
      c)
Put a check in the box under the Copyright Restrictions paragraph indicating that you have read it.  Then click "Go."
    5. When the next screen appears, please click "OK" (if you don't, your request won't be sent).
    B. If you want to put in a request for a book that is not owned by another ODIN library, OR, if you want to request an article through interlibrary loan, do the following:

    2. Log on using your ID or barcode number and your password (your last name in lowercase letters).
    3. Click the link which reads "Interlibrary Loan Request (Blank)." An electronic form appears which you'll need to fill out as completely as you can.

****PLEASE NOTE:  The default form that appears is for ordering a book through interlibrary loan. If  it is an article you need, click the link that reads "Photocopy" (top right part of the screen) and fill out that form.

    4. When finished filling out the form, scroll down the page and click "Go." When the next screen appears, please click "OK" (if you don't, your request won't be sent).
