Campus Compact - Education
Site Placement Criteria
If the Member is serving in a K-12 public school, the school must be defined
as high-need by meeting at least one of the following categories:
• Title I
status
• Free and Reduced Lunch percentages (greater than or equal to
50%)
•
Statewide Academic Assessment Tests (low or unsatisfactory rating)
Teacher Education Students may also qualify separately from the site
placement criteria if they are focusing their education service in one of the
following specific areas, as identified through their academic program:
•
Special Education
• ESL/Bilingual Education
The Campus Compact Coordinator and Teacher Education Placement Supervisor can assist Members with determining if the site meets the placement criteria. If neither the site placement qualifications nor the area of emphasis for
service matches with the above criteria, the student will not be eligible for
participation in AmeriCorps through the Compact Service Corps program.
