Click! Click! Click! Calling all shutterbugs, memory keepers & creatives! Click Camp is a hands-on digital photography class covering camera and photography basics such as composition, lighting, posing and perspective. Students will use these skills to capture beautiful images in a hands-on photo scavenger hunt! Point-and-shoot digital cameras will be provided.

In this class, we will experiment with a variety of different types of clay including polymer, air dry, and plastilina. Students will create mini food sculptures with polymer clay and plates of food with air dry clay inspired by the artwork of pop artist, Claes Oldenburg.

Students will create their own printmaking masterpieces while learning the basics of printmaking art in this two-day camp. Making one-of-a-kind artworks (monotype prints), students will take their prints a step further by creating a colorful “ explosion” book using their monoprints to make the pages.

Explore the exciting world of pop art and learn how to paint! Students will learn about pop artists like Andy Warhol, color theory, and learn techniques for working with acrylic paint. Then students will create their one-of-a-kind candy pop art on a canvas with acrylic paint!

Come explore with watercolors! In this camp, students will learn wet on wet, wet on dry, and many more watercolor techniques. Students will sharpen their skills and then they will create a beautiful torn paper watercolor landscape!

Students will use their imagination to produce a low-relief animal image in metal (silver foil) using the process of repousse. Repousse is a method of decorating metals in which parts of the design are embossed from the backside. Kids will finish off their creations by antiquing it, adding a unique twist to a historical tradition.

Our fitness camp for kids is all about having fun while providing a variety of activities for kids of all fitness levels to participate in.  Kids will enjoy being active while they rotate through various stations that will include playing games, a climbing wall, yoga, calisthenics, agility, and much more.  Wear some tennis shoes, comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle and join the fun!

Come enjoy the adventures of yoga and rock climbing! The camp will provide a fun, creative, and enriching experience through yoga movement and games while also providing a unique and rewarding experience with rock climbing, which has been shown to help build confidence, improve focus, and increase coordination in children.

Join Ethan Valentine (Assistant Professor of Psychology at Minot State) and Minot State Esports for a board game-based Game Design Bootcamp! You – or your child – will develop creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork skills while creating and playtesting their own board game. Across five sessions, participants will explore existing commercial board games with a focus on breaking the game, explore free form games with limited rulesets, engage in collaborative board game design, and wrap up the bootcamp by playtesting each other’s games. Participants will each receive a board game design kit and will be able to take home their custom game at the end of the camp. Minot State Esports staff will also be available to chat about esports/competitive gaming on the MSU campus and educational opportunities tied to game design and development.
