A Message from the Chair

Congratulations! By the time you read this, you will have crossed from the twilight zone of finishing the last of your papers to the triumphant, forward-looking status of graduate. While today may be the milestone we celebrate, for you it also represents hundreds of collective hours of lively discussion, thousands of pages of reading, and tens of thousands of words painstakingly assembled into thoughtful arguments. On behalf of all of us in the Division of Social Science, I applaud each of you for your passion for learning, your creativity, and your accomplishments. Wherever your degree takes you and whatever the circumstances, we are excited to learn how you apply your distinctive talents to study intriguing topics, to ask complex questions, and to share what you learn. We'll be watching with pride and admiration. Congratulations and best wishes!

— Dr. Dan Ringrose, Division of Social Sciences Chair
