KMSU Radio Channel 19
Since Minot State's Broadcasting Department took over MidContinent Cable Channel 19 in November of 1995, KMSU Radio is now broadcast live to more than 12,000 households in the Minot area.

For years, the station's signal ran through a carrier current from Hartnett Hall to the rest of the university. Now, the station is broadcast over Channel 19 whenever KMSU-TV isn't airing programming.

KMSU Radio has an alternative format. Some of the music played is sent from small record producers who give away CDs to college stations for promotional purposes.

If you want to get involved with KMSU Radio, sign up for Radio Activities (Communication Arts 284).

KMSU Television Channel 19
In November of 1995, five years of planning and preparation came together when Minot State's Broadcasting Department took over MidContinent Cable Channel 19.

KMSU-TV currently airs 20 hours of programming each week, including MSU Inside/Out. Other programming includescommunity local origination programs and episodes from the Burly Bear Network.

When KMSU isn't airing programs, public service announcements run on a scroll while KMSU Channel 19 Radio plays around the clock in the background.

KMSU Auction
The KMSU Auction is a way for Minot State Broadcasting students to apply their studies of broadcast production, public relations, and advertising.

The KMSU Auction was first designed to raise funds for the broadcasting department and was to run only one year. The idea was for students to go into the community, talk with area businesses, and ask for donated goods or services. These donated items would then be auctioned live from the broadcasting studio on the Minot State University campus. To the amazement of the department, the auction was a huge success.

Due to the positive feedback from the community and the excitement of students in the department, the success has elevated each year.
