KMSU Auction
The KMSU Auction is an annual fundraising event that is televised live to the Minot area for an entire evening. Students enrolled in Comm 354 (Special Events Planning) spend the semester learning to plan, complete, and evaluate this large-scale event. During the auction, students work both on and off camera to auction off a variety of packages (donated from local businesses) to callers who attempt to place the highest bid. Proceeds from the event help fund student travel to professional conferences and the allow the department to purchase new equipment that students use to complete class projects. Each year a portion of the proceeds are donated to a local non-profit organization.
