Dr. Paul Markel is a tenured professor of Psychology at Minot State University, where he has been employed continuously since 1996. He is published in haptics as well as the genetics of alcoholism and schizophrenia; his current research activity is diverse and includes haptic spatial memory, hedonics, and attitude towards death. He obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and worked in the biotechnology sector in Cambridge, MA, prior to coming to Minot State University. He is a member of the Association for Psychological Science and the New York Academy of Science.
