Luther Olson is an instructor of mathematics and statistics at Minot State University where he has taught Elementary Statistics and Intermediate Algebra, both face-to-face and online, Elementary Statistics Lab, and Probability and Statistics for Secondary Teachers (in the STEM Graduate Program).

Previously, Olson served as an Assistant Professor at Turtle Mountain Community College. While at TMCC, he taught Precalculus, Trigonometry, Statistics I & II, College Algebra I & II, Intermediate Algebra, and Technical Math (Math for Welders). Olson also served as an instructor and materials developer for STEM lessons for high school summer camps and Sunday academies in a collaboration with North Dakota State University, University of North Dakota, and the North Dakota tribal colleges. Olson was Project Director for a NASA PACE Education grant and a Packard grant. He served on the Pharmacy Tech. advisory committee, online standards committee, retention committee, and accreditation committees.

Additionally, Olson was a materials developer for a Native American based mathematics program in a partnership with California State University Fullerton, and a served as an adjunct University Supervisor for Student Teachers for North Dakota State University. He is a TCUP LDI Fellow (NSF-QEM) and completed the John Kuglin technology training: Learning to Work as a 21st Century Educator.
