Learn with Minot State
When you study production at Minot State University, you will learn the ins and outs of audio and video to create messages for traditional and new media. KMSU, Minot State's television and radio station, provides opportunities to produce and create content ready for the air. You are limited only by your imagination, as the station's YouTube channel offers and opportunity for you to pursue your own interests with original shows and specials.

What you will study
The broadcasting program combines coursework in communication, journalism, public relations, and production to diversity your experiences within and outside the classroom. As the internet continues to become a greater means of global communication, professional communicators must know how to broadcast messages across many mediums.

Employment opportunities
Broadcasting careers are experiencing a rising job market, with many earning median salaries between $30-127k.

Faculty
Department faculty practice what they teach and bring those experiences in production, public relations, marketing, advertising, and writing into the classroom.

Hands-on learning
As a broadcasting major studying production, you will gain experience in the field from your first semester.
