As an international student, you are required to prove funding for additional expenses before your I-20 can be issued.

    • Please note that these additional expenses will not be billed through your Minot State student account, they are simply an estimate of potential living costs. Estimates are subject to change.

New freshman admitted by the deadline of Feb. 15 that meet the academic standards are eligible for these awards.

Awards are based on your official unweighted high school grade point average (GPA). No additional application beyond your application for admission is required. Those who qualify will receive their award in the form of a tuition waiver which may not be eligible for combination with other waivers. Terms and conditions are subject to change.

Transfer Student Scholar Award

You’ve worked hard to get to where you are today. That’s why we created the Transfer Student Scholar Award.

Transfer to Minot State with a GPA between 3.5-4.0 and you’ll receive $1,500. Students with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 will be awarded $1,000.

U.S. and Canadian students with a minimum of 24, and no more than 70, transferable semester hours earned are eligible. You must submit a completed Minot State General Scholarship Application by the Feb. 15 deadline to be considered for the one-time, non-renewable award.

International students who are not from Canada are not eligible for the incoming freshman 4 year awards and the new transfer student scholar award.

Fill out your scholarship application and find out about waivers and awards you might qualify for! The scholarship deadline is Feb. 15.
