Hannah Voeller, senior
Marketing and Management majors

Alum from day one: Hannah Voeller

Keep an eye out for Hannah on campus — besides her marketing and management classes, you will find this Rugby, N.D. native interning in the marketing department and involved in collegiate DECA and Phi Beta Lambda.

My choice: Minot State
I transferred from my previous university because I felt I could be viewed as an individual at Minot State. At my previous school my smallest class had 50-75 students, here at Minot State my class sizes are smaller. The professors all know my name and genuinely care about the success of my academic career. Transferring to Minot has given me the opportunity to meet and connect with others on a more intimate level, helping me excel in my academic and personal life.

My choice: Be seen
My favorite part about interning for the marketing office is how different each day is. There is always something different going on, and I get to assist with the fun projects our office plans. From Homecoming to community events, I’ve had the chance to meet and connect with members of the community and campus.

My choice: Be empowered
Tawnya (‘04/’08) is the professor who’s influenced me the most. She sets her classes up so we have opportunities to plan and create our own marketing events and materials, while giving us direction and advice from her own career. My favorite class has been Integrated Marketing Communications.

My choice: Belong
Minot State’s best kept secret is the student activities. MSU Life has so much going on all year long, and the events and activities give us the chance to meet other students outside the classroom or residence halls.

My choice: Favorite quote
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” —Anne Frank

My choice: Favorite experience
My most memorable moment at Minot State was helping with the Homecoming parade. It was so fun to help the floats line up and see the students and community members gather to celebrate our University!
