The Broadcasting and Professional Communication major at Minot State University blends hands-on learning and lectures emphasizing verbal and visual communication in journalism, audio and video production, public relations, and communication.
As the world turns more toward social media to communicate messages, our majors learn a holistic approach to communication across mediums — television, radio, print, and online — and professions.
Minot State University’s relationships with local businesses and media allow students to bridge the gap between education and entry-level positions in the workforce.

Minot State's Broadcasting and Professional Communication program provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology that prepares students for a variety of careers. Minot State students majoring in Broadcasting and Professional Communication do everything from producing their own commercials and event planning, to news and feature writing in the Red & Green and producing and anchoring their very own TV shows on KMSU Channel 19.
