The Broadcasting and Professional Communication major at Minot State University offers five different areas of specialization:

  • Social Media - NEW! Starting Fall 2020
  • TV and Radio Production
  • Public Relations
  • Communication
  • Journalism

The program blends hands-on learning with lectures to prepare students for a variety of careers. Majors work with cutting-edge technology that allows them to produce their own weekly TV show on KMSU Channel 19, work as radio DJs, produce their own commercials, complete PR campaigns, plan promotional events, and write for the Red & Green campus newspaper.

Students also enjoy the opportunity to work with local businesses on a variety of class projects. This combined experience helps propel students' success in both college internships and post-graduation employment.
