"Where are the ‘High Fives’?"
Women’s Heritage Presentation by Heidi Heitkamp
March 14-Friday-7:00 p.m.-Ann Nicole Nelson Hall
Heidi will discuss hard-learned survival lessons for today’s working woman. Along the way she will encourage you to stop the nonsense and get in the real world by helping you redefine success in your daily lives. She will poke some good fun at the mythical pursuit of "Having It All." She will talk about what we need to teach our daughters and granddaughters about the working woman’s challenges and obsessions.
Heidi Heitkamp
Heidi Heitkamp is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. She served as North Dakota’s Tax Commissioner from 1986 to 1992, when she became the Attorney General of North Dakota, a position she held until 2000.
In 2000, Heidi ran an unsuccessful campaign for Governor of North Dakota. Heidi now looks for ways to be involved in North Dakota’s future outside of politics. She currently sits on several corporate and organizational boards, including the Dakota Gasification Company Board, and is a practicing lawyer and consultant.
