"Opportunities and Challenges for Women in Business"

Brown Bag Discussion by Carla Cabarle

Carla has embraced many opportunities and taken on many challenges while climbing the ladder. She will discuss her experience in business, from the boardroom to the classroom, as well as share stories about the challenges and rewards of opening and operating her own business.

Carla Cabarle
Carla Cabarle is an Instructor in the Minot State University Department of Accounting & Finance and the Director of the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program. She holds a BS in Accounting from Georgian Court University and an MS in Taxation from Colorado State University, and is CPA licensed in North Dakota. Carla has over twenty years of business experience including seven years as a Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of a manufacturing operation. In addition to teaching accounting and taxation at Minot State University, she recently opened two businesses of her own; one is a tax practice and the other is a retail store and party destination.
