Beavers Run Record
to 11-3 with Win Over Sky Lights
HAVRE, Mont. - The
Minot State University women rebounded from a poor shooting effort
Friday by shooting over 50 percent to earn a 77-74 win over MSU-Northern
here Saturday night.
MacKenzie Mack led
MSU with 21 points on 9 of 14 shooting, while Ari Hendrix went 6
of 11, and 4 of 7 from beyond the 3-point line to finish with 18
points. Caroline Folven added 13 points for MSU, which held MSU-Northern
to just eight offensive rebounds and freshman Sacarra Moline had
nine second half points to give the Beavers a big lift off the bench.
"We shot the ball
well but we were pretty solid defensively most of the night," MSU
head coach Sheila Green Gerding said. :We did a great job limiting
their opportunities to one per possession for most of the night.
We had different people step up at different times and hit big shots
for us. It was a great team win."
As a team, the Beavers
shot 55 percent from the field in the game, and made good on 80
percent from the free-throw line.
