Virtual Tour - Video Transcript

Hi there! I'm Luke and I'm Vanessa - and we are your virtual tour guides! As you know, roots are important! Family is important! At Minot State University, we're a family waiting for you to arrive. Take a peek through our virtual tour. We've been told we're just the right size and in just the right location. Come on - we'll show you!

Minot State University's Old Main is the pillar of the campus. Old Main has anchored Minot State for nearly 100 years. The building is home to education, business, music, physical education, and technology. The beautiful Ann Nicole Nelson Hall houses fine arts performance on the second floor. Several computer labs are also located in Old Main for your use, day and night.

The Student Center is the hub of activities. It houses the new student activities center, the Beaver Dam. From comedians to hypnotists to dances-the Beaver Dam is the place to be! You can shoot pool, watch TV on the gigantic 20-foot screen or on one of the flat-screen TVs, or just enjoy hanging out with friends. For a pick-me-up? Get a drink at our campus Starbucks! We also have high-tech laptops stationed just outside the Beaver Dam for all your email and MySpace needs.

You’re probably asking yourself right now, "but what about the food?" There are several places to eat in the Student Center. When on the meal plan, you can eat all you want in the Beaver Creek Café. The includes main entrée, deli or grill items, homemade pizzas, desserts, and beverages. If you’re not on the meal plan, you can eat at Buckshot’s on the main floor. They offer soups, saldas, subs, and more. If you’re in a hurry, swing into Symbols, our convenience store. And when lounging around in the Beaver Dam, check out Sandella’s unique menu showcasing wraps, quesadillas, and flat bread pizzas.

The Minot State University Bookstore and additional computer kiosks are located on the first floor of the Student Center. The bookstore provides students with the basics: textbooks, software, and school supplies. They also have a variety of MSU apparel, from sweatpants and hoodies to t-shirts and shorts. A new addition to the MSU campus is the Multicultural Center for international students on the first floor of the Student Center.
