University of Mary Open 4/13/08 Drew Hysjulien of the MSU Track and Field team broke a school record this weekend at the University of Mary Open . Hysjulien leaped an impressive 49'4 ½” in the Triple Jump to set and personal and school record. He was also able to capture second in the high jump with a height of 6'4.” Hyjulien is not the only one to see success this past weekend in Bismarck . Josh Ming, Jenny Castro and Lashay Bagsby all qualified for Nationals on Sunday. Josh Ming won the men's Javelin with a throw of 187'2.” Jenny Castro won the women's Javelin with a distance of 148'9” and placed second in the Shot Put. Lashay Bagsby finished in second in High Jump. The Women's team saw great success in the Javelin this weekend as they had four athletes place in this event. As well as having Casey Seltvedt and Jenny Castro placing fourth and 6 th respectively in the Discus. On the Men's side, Nick Banks placed third in the 200M with a time of 22:58 and Julius Ceasar finished fourth with a time of 22:61. Minot State will compete this weekend at their home opener on April 19 th at Herb Parker Stadium. Bemidji , University of Mary and Dickinson are all scheduled to attend.
