The Student Government Association is the governing body for the students at MSU. The membership consists of nine executive officers and twenty-four college senators representing each college of study and on- and off-campus students.
The mission of Student Government Association is to promote the general welfare of the students, increase student involvement within the university, and provide an official voice through which student opinion may be expressed. It is the responsibility of SGA to foster communication between the students, staff, and administration of MSU.

Professors of the Year Nominated | April 12th, 2013
Minot State University's Student Government Association selected Laurie Geller,
Lisa Borden-King and John Girard as the 2012-2013 Professors of the Year. In
spring 2012, SGA began nominating outstanding professors from each of MSU's
three colleges for this award, and it has since made it an annual tradition.
This award honors three professors each year for their dedication and commitment
to helping MSU students.
