Vice President for Administration and Finance
Brian Foisy began at Minot State University in July 2010 as the vice president for administration and finance. He is responsible for business services, facilities management, information technology, human resources, financial aid, and the campus bookstore.
Foisy has held management positions at three higher education entities over his 19-year career. He began in 1995 with Southern Utah University, working in both accounting and budgeting. He was promoted to budget director in 1999 and was responsible for developing annual operating budgets, completing state management reports, performing financial projections, and other administrative duties. From July 2004 to February 2008, Foisy was an assistant commissioner for financial services at the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education and the Utah State Board of Regents. Most recently, he was the vice president for administrative services for the Utah College of Applied Technology, where he managed administrative support operations for the stateís consortium of eight technical colleges.
Foisy earned an associate of arts degree from Snow College in June 1994, where he graduated summa cum laude and as class valedictorian. He earned a bachelorís degree in accounting from Southern Utah University in August 1997, also graduating summa cum laude and as class valedictorian. He stayed at Southern Utah University to finish a masterís degree in accountancy, graduating summa cum laude in December 2000.
