Communication in an Emergency

In the case of a weather or safety emergency on campus: Safety instructions for students, faculty, and staff—will be made available to the campus community through e-mail, opt-in text messaging, voice mail, the Minot State Web site, and local radio and TV stations. The NotiFind System will be used by Minot State University to contact faculty, staff, and students in the event of an emergency. Information will be used only for emergency notifications regarding campus safety issues or severe weather emergencies. The Office of Public Information is the only campus office authorized to disseminate official information about campus emergencies to the campus community. Updated information about the situation will be posted on the Minot State Web site as available.

If you receive phone calls inquiring about an emergency situation:
Direct requests from the media to Public Information at 858-3298.
