Sen. Heitkamp visits MSU Nursing Department

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State University Nursing Department hosted Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., on the MSU campus Tuesday afternoon.

Sen. Heitkamp toured the MSU Department of Nursing including the state-of-the-art High Fidelity Simulation lab as well as the nursing lab. Minot State students and faculty met with Sen. Heitkamp for a 25-minute question and answer session.

Heitkamp’s dedication to healthcare across the nation and in our local and rural communities. The opportunity for our students to visit with a United States senator is also great as they are the future leaders of our nation.”

Sen. Heitkamp also met with Minot State President Dr. Steven Shirley, Dr. Laurie Geller, MSU vice president for academic affairs; nursing faculty Linda Schaefer, Heidi Okeson, Amy Roberts, and Sara Frantsvog, Dr. Jaqueline Reep-Jarmin, and Roed during her visit to MSU.
