MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State University Veterans Club will host a free screening of National Geographic’s “Chain of Command,” Thursday, Feb. 8, at Minot State’s Aleshire Theater from 7 to 9 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be able to host a free screening of ‘Chain of Command’ on campus,” said Andy Heitkamp, Minot State Veterans Center director.

The eight-part documentary series gives viewers unique access to the lives of men and women in the U.S. military and the sacrifices they make in their personal lives.

According to National Geographic’s website, the series “is an intimate portrait of the war against violent extremism, and the men and women devoting their lives to it. “Chain of Command” was filmed over 18 months and narrated by actor Chris Evans. The series premiered Jan. 15 with a double episode and airs Mondays at 8 p.m. (Central). It is broadcast in 171 countries and 43 languages.

Minot State is one of nine universities screening the series across the country.
