MSU Summer Theatre presents 'Monty Python's Spamalot'

“Monty Python’s Spamalot” will open on stage at Minot State University’s Summer Theatre July 8 and run through July 12. Tickets go on sale at 7:30 p.m., and performances begin at 8:30 p.m. Chad Gifford, Summer Theatre alumnus, directs this production.

“‘Spamalot’ is going to be a great deal of fun for fans of Monty Python's unusual brand of sketch comedy and for those who've never heard of them.  Dancing knights, ferocious killer rabbits and taunting Frenchmen make this the most unusual and hilarious twist on the King Arthur legend you've ever seen,” Gifford said.

“Monty Python’s Spamalot” is “lovingly” ripped off from the classic film comedy “Monty Python and The Holy Grail,” “Spamalot” retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table and features a bevy of beautiful showgirls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people.

For tickets or questions about “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” call the Summer Theatre box office at 858-3228. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and students under 18, $5 for children 12 and under and MSU summer students, faculty and staff $3 with current ID. Military Appreciation Night is July 11; all active duty members and their immediate family will receive $2 off adult prices, $1.50 off students, $1 off children 12 years and under with military ID. Reservations are encouraged.
