Red carpet experience for new students

Minot State University rolled out the red carpet for new students April 28. The fun began at 8 a.m. in the Student Center Atrium, where prospective students were welcomed by a sea of red. This will be the first of several orientations throughout the upcoming academic year.

“This is a big, emotional day for new students and families coming to MSU, and we understand that,” said Kevin Harmon, assistant vice president for enrollment management. “Orientation is the beginning of a successful path to graduating from MSU. Our students and their families deserve ‘red carpet’ treatment!”

CONNECT Orientation introduces new students to campus life and community resources that are crucial for student success. Students meet new and current students, learn about campus policies and procedures, confer with an academic advisor, register for classes and much more. For more information about CONNECT, contact Tammy Wolf, student services advisor, at 701-858-3360, or tammy.wolf@minotstateu.edu.
