Coleman gives next Brown Bag Book Talk
Three Brown Bag Book Talks remain for fall semester. On Oct. 15, Casey Coleman, psychology, will discuss the book "Teachers Have it Easy: The Big Sacrifices and Small Salaries of America’s Teachers" by Daniel Moulthrop.
Cheryl Nilsen, mathematics, will talk about "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" by Debora Dragseth, a book about the out migration of North Dakota college students, on Nov. 13. Nancy Pearson, communication arts, will end the semester with "Classroom Instruction That Works: Research-Based Strategies for Increasing Student Achievement" by Robert Marzano, Debra Pickering and Jane Pollock on Dec. 3.
You need not read the featured book ahead of time and are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. The book talks, sponsored by the Gordon B. Olson Library, begin at noon and conclude in time for 1 p.m. classes. All are held in the lower level of the library in Group Study Room 2.
