Tuition and Fees
Minot State University offers a high quality and affordable online program that is committed to meeting the needs of today's learners. We have been ranked #3 on BestColleges.com's Best Online Colleges in North Dakota list. We have been ranked #6 on College Choice's Most Affordable Online Colleges for 2017. We have also been ranked #12 on the Online Course Report's Top 50 Cheapest Online Universities and #32 on Best Degree Programs 50 Most Affordable Online Degree Programs For In-State Students 2016. Online courses are affordable and are charged by the credit (semester hour). This means that you pay only for the credits required to complete your degree. The per credit charge includes all tuition and fees, but not textbooks or software required for specific courses.

Undergraduate - $283.72 per credit
*Undergraduate degree-seeking students are also assessed a New Student Fee.
Graduate - $356.22 per credit

Other Important Information
- Financial Aid is available for online courses!
- Payment plans are available in the fall and spring semesters.
- Tuition and fees are due in full at the start of the semester. Students who have not paid their account by the due date will have their registration cancelled. If your registration is cancelled you will be charged a $150 reinstatement fee to be re-enrolled in classes.
- MSU does NOT send any paper bills. Your account balance is available in Campus Connection under Student Finances. Notices about tution payment deadlines will be sent to your MSU email.
- MSU will assess a late fee of 1.75% on a monthly basis for any unpaid, past due charges. Accounts are considered past due once they are over 30 days old.
- Distance education courses, including online, are not covered under the tution cap for on campus courses. You will be charged for every credit (semester hour) of courses you take online.
