2010 Exemplary Use of the Learning Management System Winner
The Online Studies Committee has selected BADM 409: International Business, designed by Dr. M. Saeed, College of Business [wmv file] as the 2010 Minot State University exemplary online course. We extend our congratulations to Dr. Saeed.
Dr. M Saeed is a tenured Professor for On-Line Programs in the Department of Business Administration, College of Business. He has over 40 years of teaching experience at the university level. His extensive experience includes conducting in-house training and providing consultancy services to a number of international organizations and multinational enterprises. He has conducted numerous researches and published 20 books, besides having more than 150 articles published in international journals and refereed conference proceedings. He is a co-author of ‘Encyclopedic Dictionary of Commerce,’ published in seven volumes, in 1990. He has participated in several international conferences; and has been on academic visits and consultancy assignments to different countries across the globe. He has served as Chair of the department, as Deputy Dean of the College, as Deputy Director of the Graduate School, and as Deputy Director and also as Director of the Institute for International Business. He is a recipient of a number of coveted honors and awards, including ‘Citation for Excellence’ (2004), and ‘Best Professor Award’ several times. He was honored in the 2004 edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. He is an active member of a number of professional bodies, including Academy of International Business, and International Management Development Association.

The Online Studies Committee is an institutional committee made up of student, faculty, and staff representatives. Nominations for the Exemplary Use of the Learning Management System award are solicited in the fall semester with recognition being awarded in the spring. The competition is open to graduate and undergraduate online course and the campus courses that use the Blackboard learning management system as a support.
