Democracy Café to meet October 8
Everyone is invited to attend a discussion on non-partisan civic issues.
Oct. 8., Democracy Café will host facilitators Brock Storrusten of Moore Engineering and City Planner Donna Bye to discuss "Neighborhoods for the Future: Planning Our Community Development." The event will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Beaver Brew Café in the Beaver Suites Plaza on North Broadway.
"This is an opportunity for MSU students and community members to gain greater insight into what goes into planning a neighborhood," said Jynette Larshus, MSU associate professor and event organizer. "Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the process and voice their opinion on what they'd like Minot to look like in the future. The focus is to provide a venue to exchange ideas so our community is enhanced in a positive way."
Democracy Café is open to the public, and is funded in part by MSU's Center for Engaged Teaching and Learning. It is also part of MSU's commitment to the Democracy Project in conjunction with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.
