Theatre students write and perform 'Freshmen 10'
Minot State University Theatre presents "Freshmen 10" Nov. 15-17 at 7:30 p.m. "Freshmen 10," a series of 10-minute plays written by students and performed in Hartnett Hall's Black Box Theater, includes:
- "Please Hold," was written by Brittany Armstrong and directed by Carlen Gilseth. In this comedy, a young college girl (Krys Zorbaugh) makes a frantic phone call to a computer technician (Josh Snyder) and gets more than just maintenance on her computer.
- "Sitting," an absurd comedy, deals with a conversation between two people (Chris Pitner and Cole Anderson) while sitting. Daniel Johnson wrote the play, while Grant Johnson will direct it.
- "Life, Death and Mr. James or How Henry Heimlich Learns the Maneuver" was written by Krys Zorbaugh and directed by Brittany Armstrong In this satire, a writer (Charles Wollschlager) is caught in the middle of a game between Life (Jason Gaarder) and Death (Mary Armstrong), while a café owner (Claire Green) and medical student (Connor Donovan) witness in this strange turn of events.
- "Valkyrie Song," a drama written by Jake Flatten and directed by Daniel Johnson, involves young college roommates (Caitlyn Getty and Lindsay Williams) whose relationship disintegrates after a secret is made known.
