Arabic Club advocates understanding
Minot State University's new Arabic Club hopes to promote better understanding of the Muslim community with a cultural event on the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001attacks. On Tuesday (Sept. 11), Islam Farag, a Fulbright language teaching assistant from Egypt, and Dr. Badi Alakech, a Minot pathologist and the Minot Mosque leader, will speak briefly about the impact of 9-11 on U.S.-Muslim relations. The event will take place in the MSU Multicultural Center from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The Arabic 101 class will prepare Egyptian food.
