MSU helps Taube 'Soup It Up' fundraiser
Minot State University students, Linda Olson, ceramics instructor, and Jim Bailey, art instructor, are supporting the Lillian and Coleman Taube Museum of Art "Soup It Up" fundraiser with their talent. The fundraiser, where attendees sample soups from 7 master chefs, is Saturday (Feb. 4) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Students in the MSU ceramics department created original, hand-crafted ceramics bowls to be given to the first 200 attendees.
Silent auction proceeds will benefit the MSU Pottery Scholarship Fund and the Taube.
"Minot State ceramics department is excited to make bowls for Soup It Up again," said Linda Olson, chair of the Division of Humanities. "We encourage everyone to come out to support the MSU Pottery Scholarship Fund and the Taube."
Max Patzner, an MSU senior from Minot, will provide live music.
Tickets are available in advance at the Taube or at the door at $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Children 10 and under are $5, which does not include a ceramic bowl.
