International Education Week activities planned Nov. 14-18
International Education Week (Nov.14-18) is a national effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.
"MSU’s efforts during International Education Week are focused on increasing awareness of study abroad opportunities for our students, as well as to generate interest in cultures from around the world," said Libby Claerbout, director of international programs. "Several departments on campus are sponsoring thought-provoking and entertaining activities throughout the week."
Minot State University is celebrating this week with daily campus activities that include culture dining tables, study-abroad panel discussions, campus lectures, a belly-dancing workshop and Brown Bag Book talk on Ireland’s role in the history of civilization. Sodexo food services will join in the celebration by serving internationally themed cuisine each day of the week. IEW will conclude with an International Night, Saturday, Nov. 19, showcasing countries around the world through cultural presentations, dance and much more! View the entire calendar of events [pdf].

Left Photo - 1st Place - Students Category: I Think I’ll Just Sit Here, in Marbella (Andalucia) Spain, by McKenzie Rudolph, International Business and Spanish major. (she is currently studying abroad in Malaga, Spain).
"This photo was taken mid-afternoon in one of the prettiest towns in Southern Spain. I was surprised to get a photo without people. Even though the day was quiet, it is rare to be alone in these narrow streets. It’s nice to capture moments of stillness, the road belongs to the flower petals, I love that."
