
Artfest
Inspiration for this year’s Artfest is Henri de Toulouse Lautrec. The Taube Museum of Art invites people of all ages to join in the fun! This year’s festival is going to be held on Friday (Oct. 14) and Saturday (Oct.15) at the State Fair Center, FFA Hall. Artists appearing from Minot State University include: Linda Olson, Jim Bailey and MSU Art Club members.
Olson is a professor of art at MSU and will demonstrate and showcase some of her pottery and photos.
Several MSU Art Club members will be floating around Artfest, displaying their artwork and staffing a booth.
The Moulin Rouge Premiere Party features appetizers with a French flair, a variety of French wines, and a Crepe Bar, in celebration of Henri de Toulouse Lautrec. It is held Friday (Oct. 14) at the State Fair Center from 7-10 p.m., must be 21 to attend. Tickets are for $25 members, $30 non members, $35 at the door, all are available at the Taube Museum of Art, Artmain and Artistry.
On Saturday (Oct. 15) Artfest runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $2 (12 and under free) with children’s activities $1. Artfest promises to be a fantastic time with art from over 40 regional and local artists.
