Make the call, win it all at the 12th annual KMSU Auction

The Minot State University Program of Broadcasting will host its 12th annual KMSU auction Dec. 2. The auction will air live on KMSU Channel 19 at 6:30 p.m.

This year, KMSU is partnering with SRT’s local-access channel to reach a broader audience in Minot’s surrounding areas. KMSU will continue to bring the excitement of the auction to the comfort of viewers’ homes by expanding its reach to cities like Velva, Berthold and Granville. To view a full list of cities that will receive the auction, visit www.srt.com and click on Cable TV.

"We are really excited this year to be partnering with SRT. We feel that this will make our auction more available to a wider variety of viewers this year and in the future," said Vaquita Hines, auction coordinator. Hines is a senior from Mandan.

KMSU will promote local businesses through various media in exchange for donations. This is a unique way for all those who donate to market their business in the Minot community and surrounding areas. The KMSU Auction’s goal is to raise funds for MSU broadcasting scholarships and equipment for the broadcasting program, in addition to giving 10 percent to 2nd Story, a non-profit social club for adults with developmental disabilities.

KMSU will organize all donations into packages; they will be auctioned off in a QVC-style format. Viewers will call in and place bids on-air during the allotted time. The high bid wins the package.

To make KMSU Auction’s fundraising goal possible, it seeks donors’ help. To make a donation or ask questions, contact Hines at (701)471-6090 or visit KMSU’s website at www.kmsuauction.org.
