Minot State hosting third annual luau at the North Dakota State Fair
Minot State invites alumni and friends to a luau party at the North Dakota State Fair on July 28, 5-8 p.m. The event will be held in the outdoor area of the Flickertail Gardens in conjunction with the Front Fenders, genre music ranging from the years of 1964 to 1974, and the Collectors Car Show.
The event’s purpose is to get MSU out into the community and provide a fun atmosphere for alumni and friends in the area. During the event, there will be free entertainment with drink specials and other prizes.
"When Minot State began hosting the luau party three years ago, we wanted to create more events for our alumni and friends in the Minot area to gather, network and socialize. The North Dakota State Fair is a perfect venue to do that," said Tawnya Bernsdorf, director of alumni relations and annual giving. "We had an awesome turnout out last year of about 300 people. It was great to see MSU alumni reuniting and observe the conversations."
The Front Fenders and the Collectors Car Show will start immediately following the luau at 8 p.m. Tickets are included on the weekly show pass or available for purchase at the luau party.
