Minot State University on display at the mall
The Minot area community will be able to attend "MSU at Dakota Square Mall" on Saturday (March 27), from noon to 3 p.m., in the Sears Court. As a Saturday event, it provides a great opportunity for Minot State University to feature its students, academic programs, student organizations and other university entities.
"The university is excited to bring this event back to the mall for its fourth year," said Teresa Loftesnes, director of marketing. "‘MSU at Dakota Square Mall’ allows the community to visit one on one with campus representatives and get a feel for what is currently happening at the university."
Featured events include a town hall meeting, sponsored by SAFE Communities of North Central Dakota, to discuss the issue of underage drinking as a kickoff to April Alcohol Awareness Month. Participants in this meeting can register to win a Blu-ray DVD player. Faculty and students will share their 2010 research projects and scholarly work. Free blood pressure checks by nursing students, multiple art activities by art students and robot demonstrations conducted by computer science students are all part of the day’s events. Visitors can play games, win prizes and register to win an MSU door prize.
